TITANIC SINKS IN SEAFORD

June 26 2013.

Seaford Musical Theatre finished participating in Small Charity Week in style last Saturday, with a movie themed show entitled 'Back To The Barn' , which was attended by Norman Baker MP.

A tiny Titanic was sunk on stage during a beautiful rendition of the movie's theme tune 'My Heart Will Go On', performed by musical director, Margaret Farmiloe. Hearts were broken as Sound Technician, Laurence Woolven, swept Julie Terry off of her feet in the theme to 'An Officer and a Gentleman' and veteran performer Graham Tubb charmed the audience with the stunning Jenny Humphries by his side for 'Hello Dolly'. SMT Chairman, Shar Turnbull, told the Junior section about her 'Favourite Things' and the colourful costumes of the 'Up The Tempo' dance school dancers filled the stage as they performed an 80's movie themed montage.

The show was compared by Seaford's answer to Derren Brown, magician and comedian Sammy Jones, and the audience were introduced to his 'little fabric friend' Bert in a hilarious ventriloquism sketch.
