WOMAN ARRESTED FOR STEALING FROM SEAFORD CHARITY SHOP

May 23 2013.

A 42-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of theft from a charity shop in Seaford on Tuesday.
The woman from Ringmer was seen acting suspiciously in the Cancer Research UK Shop in Broad Street by a police officer. She was detained, questioned and released on bail for further enquiries until 9 July.

Seaford Sergeant Stuart Mullins said: "I want to assure the public that we take all offences of theft seriously and will do all we can to detect them. Stealing from a charity has serious consequences, not only does the charity lose out, but it is an attack on those that freely donate goods and the volunteers who give up their time to help."
