A TOMB WITH A VIEW IN NEWHAVEN

May 15 2013.

Meeching Amateur Dramatics (MAD), will be bringing 'A Tomb with a View', a comedy thriller, by Norman Robbins, to the Meeching Hall in Fort Road, Newhaven, for its spring 2013 production.

"A Tomb with a View is set in a sinister old library, presided over by the portrait of a grim-faced, mad-eyed old man. A dusty lawyer reads a will, involving some millions of pounds, to an equally sinister family, one member of which has werewolf tendencies. Another wanders around in a toga pretending to be Julius Caesar, a third is a gentle elderly lady who plants more than seeds in her flower-beds. By the third act there are more corpses than live members left in the cast; and what about the sympathetic nurse and the author of romantic novels - are they all, or more than they seem to be? All is revealed as the plot twists and turns to its surprising conclusion."

A Tomb with a View will be performed over two weekends; Thursday May the 16th to Saturday the 18th, and then Friday the 24th and Saturday the 25.

Tickets at £8 can be obtained from Meeching Estate Agents, High Street, Newhaven, BN9 9PA. Tel: (01273) 515566, or by contacting Tony Gibbs on 07912 965 507.
