REMEMBER SPENCER CARAVAN

March 26 2013.

A while ago Amanda and Paul Roberts contacted the Rotary Club of Seaford to see if they could help their charity "Remember Spencer". Spencer, their son, tragically died from cancer at the beginning of 2008, and Remember Spencer was started to help other children who are suffering from the disease, and their families.

The Club agreed to pledge £500 to help one of their projects, which was to provide an upgraded caravan for holidays to help sufferers and their families.

The Club received the following e-mail from Amanda:

Further to our previous e-mails, we have now managed to secure a caravan at a beautiful 5 Star site in Eastbourne.

Although we couldn't afford a brand new caravan, the one we have bought is a much higher spec and on a much nicer site, with its own private beach and wonderful leisure facilities.

Our cancer families will not fail to have wonderful holidays.

We are now also booked up for the whole of the Summer holidays, which is fantastic."

The Rotary Club sent off the cheque, and below is the reply:

Can we just say a big thank you to all at the Rotary Club of Seaford, for the very generous donation of £500. This donation has helped us to secure a beautiful Caravan in Eastbourne so we can continue to provide free holidays for Children suffering the trauma of childhood cancer. I have attached a picture of the caravan, in order that you can show it on your pages.

Once again a massive thank you from the members of Team Spence. We really do appreciate your support.

Kind regards

Amanda
