The RNLI Newhaven Spring Book Sale at the Hillcrest Centre, Hillcrest Road, Newhaven on Saturday 16th March raised £125.00 in just a couple of hours. With approximately 2000 books to browse through there was plenty of choice and everyone managed to find something to suit their interest.

The fundraising society were fortunate that the volunteer lifeboat crew were able to assist with the moving of the large volume of books on this occasion, however, unfortunately, due to the difficulties with the logistics of this to and from their storage, this book sale may have been the last at the Hillcrest Centre. However, a selection of second hand books will be available each month at Paradise Park Garden Centre, with the next availability being on Tuesday 19th March from 10am to 2pm.

The next main fundraising event will be a Coffee Morning hosted by Mrs Ann Payne at 2 Bay Vue Road, Newhaven on Saturday 6th April from 10am to 12noon.
