SEAFORD BONFIRE SOCIETY RAISES FUNDS FOR LOCAL CHARITIES

March 11 2013.

At Seaford Bonfire Society's open meeting on Thursday the 7th of March at their HQ, The White Lion Hotel, their two nominated local charities were each presented with cheques for £500.

Seaford Lifeguards help the society at their events with collection buckets and torch distribution and have been of invaluable support since the society reformed in 2010. The Seaford Downs Syndrome & Special Needs Support Group has been one of the society's chosen charities for the last two years due to the valuable work they do for families within the Seaford community.

This year's celebrations will be held on Saturday October the 19th and programmes will be available nearer the event.

Plans are underway and the society hopes to bring Seaford the best display so far. Anyone wishing to join the group can do so at their open meetings on the first Thursday of each month at the White Lion Hotel from 7.00pm onwards, or by contacting the secretary at seafordbonfire@gmail.com

Seaford Bonfire Society would like to thank the community for all their continued support and look forward to seeing supporters at any one of the events they will be attending during the year.
