Series of short talks about inspirational wartime women, including Edith Cavell, Nellie Spindler, Women of the ATA, Mairi Chilshom & Elsie Knocker. 2.00 - 4.00 pm

Saturday 30th, Sunday 31st , Monday 1st April - 'Hands on History' visit the Fort bringing fun activities for all ages, including WW2 paintball guns, leatherworking and make your own gas mask.

Monday 1st - 14th - Easter Quiz trail throughout the holidays.

Monday 1st - Jaws 'n' Claws animal handling workshops at 13.30 & 14.45. Places must be booked in advance by calling Newhaven Fort on 01273 517622.

Saturday 6th - Sunday 14th - 'Stitch for Victory' touring exhibition on display in the School Room.

Sunday 21st - Sussex British Motorcycle Owners Club
Annual fundraising rally. Music and entertainment throughout the day.

Sunday 19th - Classic Cars on Parade
A multi-marque display of classic cars across the decades, courtesy of the Southern Classics Society

Thursday 16th - 'The Dam Busters'
As part of the Museums at Night festival, and to commemorate the 70th anniversary of the famous raids, Newhaven Fort brings you a screening of the classic 1955 film. Tickets are free but must be booked in advance and will be available from April. Doors open at 18.30, film begins at 19.30. The Fort's exhibitions and café will remain open until the film begins.

June
Saturday 15th - 'The Great White Silence'
Rare screening of the 1924 documentary featuring footage of Captain Scott's Terra Nova expedition to the South Pole. Doors at 19.00, film begins 19.30. Tickets from Newhaven Fort, 01273 517622.

Saturday 29th - Jazz Night
Enjoy an evening of live jazz in an atmospheric WWII setting with 'The Full Complement' jazz band. 19.30 - 22.30 (doors open 19.00). Tickets available from Newhaven Fort, 01273 517622.

Saturday 27th/Sunday 28th - Living History weekend
Multi period re-enactment weekend, featuring groups portraying military life from various eras.

August
Tuesday 20th - The Comedy of Errors
Oddsocks Productions return with their annual summer visit to the Fort. Show starts at 19.30, doors open 18.45. Tickets from Newhaven Fort, 01273 517622.

September
Sunday 15th - Battle of Britain Day
A day of 1940 nostalgia, featuring music and dancing, as well as living history displays throughout the day.
