THINKING CAPS ON FOR THE NEXT BIG ROTARY QUIZ

February 20 2013.

The hunt is on once more to discover the Brains of Seaford as the Rotary Club of Seaford plans their next Grand Charity Quiz Night, set for Friday 22 March at Seaford Head School (Lower) in Steyne Road.

Eighteen teams entered the fray in March 2012 when the quartet called Welly Wanderers finished top of the pile at the end of a frantic evening of fun and head-scratching. Will they be able to defend their title - and the handsome trophy and souvenirs that go with it?

The invitations to return are going out to all last year's contestants who enjoyed fierce competition, a delicious hot, two-course meal, two entertainment breaks and some great prizes including a non-compulsory raffle.

Now the booty on offer this time should be even greater, with the Rotary Club of Seaford's drive for increased sponsorship.

Rotary FUNd-raising Committee Chairman Bill Pierce said: "Last year's event was a great success even though it raised only a modest amount of money for our worthy causes.

"Everybody involved said what a fun evening it was and now we want them to come back for more. We could even have a tiny bit more room for newcomers if not all last year's teams take up the challenge again. We've realized we were actually too cheap - and that the contestants will happily help us raise funds from the night with a slight increase in entry fees.

"Last year's fantastic value for a great night's entertainment will continue with a cost of £30 per team, or 7.50 per person."

So here's your chance to join the action. If you can raise a team of four from your workplace, shop, office, factory, sports or social club or among neighbours, friends and even just your family, contact Bill on 07971 611431 or piercewilliam991@gmail.com for full details and an entry form.
