CALL TO ARTISTS - ARTWAVE IS GO!

February 20 2013.

Entries are open for the 20th annual Artwave festival, which will see hundreds of local artists open their studios and homes to display their work.

Artwave is co-ordinated by Lewes District Council and is a not-for-profit visual arts festival which promotes local art and craft. The diversity of the artwork is reflected in the variety of venues open during the festival. From studios to gardens, living rooms to community spaces; individuals and groups are encouraged to join in and celebrate the wealth of creativity in the Lewes District.

2012 saw a fantastic array of work with venues welcoming tens of thousands of visitors to the district-wide festival. The Hillcrest Centre in Newhaven put on a silent auction and children's workshops alongside their Harold Mockford exhibition. Events including a wood turning demonstration took place at Stafford Open House in Seaford. The events enrich the festival and are most certainly encouraged and any venues wanting to advertise them are encouraged to do so upon application.

Entries are now open and can be accessed here
www.artwavefestival.org or contact the Artwave team on 01273 484002 or artwave@lewes.gov.uk for more information.

Note that entry forms need to be returned by Tuesday 2nd April by 12 noon and venues/events must be located within, or nearby, the Lewes District.
