AND IT'S ALSO PANTO TIME IN NEWHAVEN

January 13 2013.

Meeching Amateur Dramatic (MAD) are ready to take you down the yellow brick road with Dorothy and her three friends, who you are sure you know, suffice to say between them they need a brain, a heart and some courage.

The Wizard of Oz Panto, by John Morley is true to the original story and runs from Friday  the 18th through to Saturday the 26th of January at Meeching Hall, Fort Road, Newhaven. There is no performance on Sunday but there is a Matinee on the first Saturday. Tickets are £8.00 for adults and £5.00 for children and are available now from Meeching Estate Agents, High Street, Newhaven. Telephone 01273 515566.

The whole family will hiss, boo, laugh and cry as the fearless foursome, except for the Lion of course, who is not fearless, but just wants his Mum, try to reach the Wizard and are then frustrated along the way by the Wicked Witch of the West with her three Malicious Monkeys and in turn helped by the other Witches, Munchkins and the Emeralders.

The whole energetic production is immersed in the usual high standard of comedy from MAD, together with dance, mayhem and songs. The latter being of special mention as it includes two songs especially written for the production by two local people; Jim Harvey and Paul Boswell. The director, Tony Gibbs, has no hesitation in saying these songs are so good they have become the highlight of the show.

So take time out and visit MAD's traditional pantomime. They promise you will not be disappointed.
