FRIENDS OF TIDE MILLS MEETING REPORT FOR DECEMBER

December 17 2012.

Jim Skinner writes:

The Friends of Tide Mills have just enjoyed their final meeting of 2012 on Sunday  the 16th of December. 14 of us collected around 24 sacks of assorted rubbish and a few heavier, bulkier items, from Tide Mills. Afterwards we enjoyed our annual Christmas picnic, which is always well stocked with Christmas fare!

We thank all visitors for their help in trying to keep Tide Mills as it is by taking home, not just their litter, but additional items as well. We sincerely thank you all and wish you all a very happy Christmas.

One of our birding experts reported the sighting of several Waxwings on the nearby Ouse Estuary Nature Reserve, these beautiful and easily identified birds possibly staying until the Spring.

Our first meeting of 2013 is Sunday the 20th of January, (always the third Sunday of the month). We meet for around two hours from 10am. Of course, we always welcome new members to our happy little band.
