December 17 2012. 

A 48-year old woman was arrested after police were called by the ambulance service to an address in Firle Close, Seaford just after 11pm on Saturday 15 December. A 57-year old man was taken from the address to the Royal Sussex County Hospital with a stab wound to the back. His condition is currently assessed as serious but stable and not life threatening. The woman was not injured

The couple are known to each other and live at the same address.

On Sunday evening, 16 December, the woman was formally released from police custody for the time being, but was taken to secure hospital accomodation for assessment over the coming weeks.
