Newhaven Historical Society presents "Sussex Industrial History - a different perspective", a talk by Geoffrey Mead at the Hillcrest Centre, Newhaven, on Tuesday the 4th of December 2012 at 7.00pm for 7.30pm.

Sussex has a long and varied industrial history that ranges from pre-Roman ironworking to Gatwick airport, from Wealden glass to resort facilities, from flint mining to university education. This fascinating talk explores the many strands of our industrial heritage and how they are closely woven into the county fabric
