Seaford Concillor Sam Adeniji is backing an incentive to encourage Seaford residents to shop locally in the run-up to Christmas.

Sam is championing the idea of residents voting for their "Favourite Independent Retailer of the Year" and promoting "Christmas Shopping in Seaford Month" during December.

From Saturday 24th November to Sunday December 23rd 2012, shoppers will be encouraged to use local independent retailers and to vote in-store, on-line or by post for their Favourite
Independent Retailer of the Year.

By entering people will be supporting local independent shops and also stand a chance of winning £100 to spend in the shop they voted for.

The shop that wins the most votes will become "People's Favourite Retailer of the Year

This initiative will be supported by the "Christmas Shopping in Seaford Month"

There is no cost for retailers to participate in this initiative and all participating retailers will be furnished with two free A4 posters, a supply of counter leaflets/voting slips to hand out to customers and free stickers. More posters and leaflets can be downloaded on- line.

Shop owners can register by sending an e-mail to stating the name of the shop, address and type of shop/products sold.
