Following the success of Seaford Bonfire Society's 2nd annual torch lit procession last weekend, this Saturday saw the presentation of the Allen Cup, kindly donated by Nick and Jo Allen, for the best dressed window with a bonfire theme. The worthy recipients were Ambers Florists in Broad Street, Seaford who were presented the award by the competition organiser, Pirate Phil Perryman, along with active SBS members Rose Purcell and Anne Gray.

Despite the rain last Saturday evening, more than 4,000 people turned out to support and attend the magnificent event, which culminated with a bonfire and firework display on the Martello Fields. "We're hoping that the occasion will get bigger every year," Phil explained, "and that more and more local companies and retailers will get behind this opportunity to bring the whole community together."
