LADIES IN LUCK

October 25 2012.

It was the ladies who dominated the big prizes in the Rotary Club of Seaford's Grand Annual Charity Raffle in Morrisons' store over the last few weeks.

Out of the hat, or rather the Big Blue Box, last Monday, came the winning numbers one, two, three in a row ... all ladies, two Mrs and a Miss - and all from Seaford, of course. Now they are in the money - £500 for the first prize, £100 for second and £50 for third.

All will be revealed at the official prize presentation at the store at noon next Monday, October 29th.

Morrisons has been as generous as usual, donating a dozen consolation prizes from its shelves to make the whole event go along with an extra swing.

The main  issue though was the impressive figure again raised by the Rotary Club of Seaford for its many and varied charitable causes. After expenses the total still ended up close to £2,000 to give out  support worthy projects. Despite the ever-increasing pressure on private purses, the people of Seaford and district again came up trumps with their £1 a ticket.

The Rotary is as aware as anyone just how tight times have become and is grateful to all those people who still find it possible to offer their support.
