SEAFORD BUILDING SITE ‘NEEDS FACELIFT’

October 24 2012.

Seaford Councillor Carolyn Lambert is campaigning for the new Seaford Library site to be given a facelift.

Councillor Lambert explains: "The site is surrounded by a large white hoarding which is not very attractive and could be used to better advantage, especially as the project will take up to two years to complete.

"I am calling on East Sussex County Council to show the investment it is making in Seaford by putting an architect's impression of the new building on the white hoarding. I also fully support the wish of the Friends of Seaford Library to see better signage on the Warwick Road site to the temporary library in Blatchington Road. Finally, I think there is a wonderful opportunity to showcase the work of local artists, including displaying art work from local schools.

"I very much hope that Councillor Tony Freebody, the Lead Member, will respond to this and I would be happy to work with him to see this important site in the centre of Seaford used more creatively."
