The weekend is here and the sun is out. The menu of events is a little short this week after last week's packed programme, but hey - let's all still get out there and support them.
 

Friday night and Newhaven is the place to be if you want a great choice of music. Up on the hill at the Hampden Arms, Shakedown were due to be supplying the sounds, but due to illness they have had to cancel. No worries though, there is a drum kit and a mic available and all musicians, singers and stompers are welcome to a bit of DIY for an Open Mic and Jam Session from around the 8.30pm mark. Up in the High Street the Bassanos are playing at the White Hart, offering a wide range of musical favourites from the 50's though to now from 9.00pm. Back down on the waterfront at The Ark and That Should Cover It, (pictured here at a previous Ark gig), a new name for some well-known local faces will be certain to get the drinkers up and dancing from around 9.00pm.
 
Over in Seaford, the Vbar lives on as pLace and offering a Totally 80's Disco, playing all the classic's from 9.00pm. Down at The Barn Theatre, Seaford Community Cinema offers a Gala Screening of All in Good Time on a 12a certificate. Doors open at 7.00pm.
 
On to Saturday morning and it's Zumba! Drag your body up to the Hillcrest Centre in Newhaven from 9.30 to 10.30 and then skip merrily on down to the High Street to snatch a bargain or two at the Newhaven Market,
 
Down at Denton Island Indoor Bowling Club there is an Open Weekend offering a free trial from 8 years and over from 10am-1pm on Saturday and Sunday. Tel: 01273 305211/ 01323 492448 for more details.
 
Over at the Crypt Gallery in Seaford the Farleys Yard Trust is running the Picasso at Play Exhibition right though until next Thursday (the 27th) Free entry from 10am to 4.30pm. For further information ring Rosemary Colebourn on 07552487694 or CLICK HERE for more information. 

On to Saturday night and The Ark has popular local rock covers band, Jellyhead playing music to get up and dance to 9.00pm onwards.

Sunday? Take a rest and then hit the mic at the Karaoke at The Bay Tree in the evening..... And moooooore, much mooooore than this, I did it myyyyyyyyyyy waaaaaaaaay. I thank you. Good night!
