HAVEN NEWS WEEKEND PREVIEW
September 7 2012.
Once again the sun arrives in time for the weekend here in the Haven, and what a weekend of fun, music, action and entertainment there is in store for us lucky Haveners and Haven visitors. The annual Seaford Live! kicks off tonight with a whole week of events, (just click on the image here to enlarge and save to see the full menu of Seaford Live! events), but there is plenty happening at the Newhaven end of the Haven as well. So get on your glad rags and hit the towns to support your local events and businesses...
Seaford Live! leaps into life tonight with the Seaford Baptist Church Concert, but unfortunately, popular Folk/Rock band Bucklers Reel, who were scheduled to appear at the Cinque Ports, wont be. Don't let that ruin your evening though, because over in Newhaven, Kelly's Heros are rocking at The White Hart in the High Street, while up on the hill at South Heighton, the Brass Monkeys are making a popular return at The Hampden Arms for Michaela, the landlady's birthday. All together now: Happy Birthday to you....
On to Saturday and once again you can start it with a Zumba session at the Hillcrest Centre in Newhaven from 9.30 to 10.30 and then wander down to the High Street to snatch a bargain or two at the Newhaven Market, or over to the RNLI Car Boot Sale at Paradise Park from 9.00am - 1.00pm.
