SEAFORD QUALITY STREET

August 22 2012.

Next Sunday, 26th August, members of the Community Safety Partnership and colleagues will be bringing a Quality Street event to Seaford beach. Quality Street is an initiative which brings local agencies together for a day of action to deal with locally identified issues.

During the event, local Seaford Lifeguards will be putting on displays to highlight the excellent work they do and to increase public safety on the beach through education, and East Sussex Fire and Rescue Service will be giving information on fire safety, with emphasis on beach barbeques and safe disposal of equipment. There are restrictions in specified areas along Seaford beach which apply to dogs and the public can speak with local animal wardens to get advice about where and when there are restrictions and the penalties in place for these and other offences. The local environment agency will be attending for a beach clean up during the day and Police and local Town Councillors will be available throughout the day to offer advice, answer questions and provide information.

This day is designed to raise awareness of beach safety issues and to bring the community together.

Seaford Quality Street - Seaford Promonade, between West View Kiosk and the Salts Recreational Ground. Sunday August 26th 2012 11:00 - 16:00.
