It's hot, hot, hot and according to the weather men, the sun is set to continue into the weekend - Hurrah! So get out there and support your local Haven events and venues. 

The Ladies Boxing Club meets tonight at the Hillcrest Community Centre, Newhaven, followed by the venue's regular Friday night Ballroom Dancing evening. The entertainment then moves along to the town centre where top local band Random will be rocking in the White Hart, while up the hill in South Heighton, covers band AKA is playing at the Hampden Arms.

Keep trim at the Hillcrest Centre on Saturday from 9.30am to 10.30am for Zumba, and then grab a bargain over at the Newhaven High Street market.

On to Saturday evening and Sam, the Haven News Music Man is sharing the lead guitar role in new rock covers band The Firm, (pictured), at The Ark from 8.30pm.

If you feel like blowing away the cobwebs on Sunday morning, the Tide Mills monthly beach clean-up starts at 10.00am and the Seahaven ParaGames will be held at the Downs Leisure Centre. This event is in partnership with Searchlight and Sainsbury's and is part of a series of events celebrating 2012.

Finish off the weekend with a good sing song at the Bay Tree Inn in Seaford for the regular Sunday night Karaoke.

Short and sweet this week - but it's the rest before the BIG August Bank Holiday Weekend next weekend...
