Police are keen to trace Piers Jake Turner, 21, who they would like to interview in relation to an attack on a 38-year-old man in a house in Newhaven on Saturday the 11th of  August.

Police and ambulance were called to the property in Haven Way at around 8.20pm following reports that a man who is known to Piers, was being attacked and bleeding quite heavily.

The victim remains in the Royal Sussex County Hospital with serious but none life threatening injuries.

Detective Sergeant Lloyd Lewis from East Sussex Adult Protection Team said: "We are keen to hear from Piers or anyone who knows his whereabouts. Please call 101 quoting serial 1887 of 11/8 or the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111 if you have any information that could help us with our enquiries."
