Taking place in homes and studios throughout the area from Saturday 25 August to Sunday September 9, Artwave showcases creative works by local artists and makers.

This year's Artwave festival promises to be even bigger and better than the 2011 event, with over 120 different venues and 380 artists participating. Visitors to Artwave 2012 will also enjoy a rise in the number of coastal venues as well as some completely new exhibitors. The festival venues cover the breadth of the Lewes district, including Ditchling and Firle as well as larger towns of Seaford, Newhaven and Lewes. From established town centre galleries to private homes, Artwave open houses offer visitors the chance to escape frantic or uninspiring schedules and to discover stimulating art in extraordinary and often tranquil settings right on their doorstep.
