FREE INSULATION OFFER

July 25 2012.

Insulation may not be top of your list in the current weather, but free cavity wall and loft insulation is currently available to all households in Lewes district.

Energy suppliers are legally required to reduce C02 levels to help the UK achieve its greenhouse gas reduction targets. This is funding a scheme to provide free wall and loft insulation for homes across the district.

LDC is encouraging residents to take advantage of this scheme. Funding is limited and is expected to run out by the end of the year.

Up to 35% of heat can be lost through walls and 25% through the roof if your property is not insulated. The typical savings for a three-bedroom semi-detached house is around £310 annually if both are properly insulated.

Eligibility
Free cavity wall and loft insulation is currently available to householders who own their home or rent from a private landlord within the Lewes district.

Grants are provided subject to a maximum house size and maximum depth of existing insulation.

A free survey will decide eligibility and identify which insulation measures can be applied to your property.

To enquire further or apply for your free survey, contact Hannah Brown on:

All installations are guaranteed for 25 years. The cavity wall insulation uses mineral fibres and does not cause damp. If there is any fallen material in your cavities that may cause problems then a survey will identify this.
