SEAFORD FAMILY FUN DAY WOWS THE CROWDS.

July 23 2012.

Yesterday's Seaford Family Fun Day held at the Downs Leisure Centre has been hailed a great success by joint organisers Wave Leisure and Seaford Town Council after glorious sunshine helped bring over 2000 visitors to the event.

Performances by the Archway Choir, The Riffz and the Seaford Rock and Jazz Orchestra entertained the crowds and over 25 community stalls raised funds for local charities and businesses. Food stalls including a giant paella pan offered a variety of refreshments for visitors and the Tavern In The Tent operated by both Rotary clubs of Seaford offered welcome cold beverages.

There were a number of sporting and dance demonstrations to celebrate the Olympic Year. These included the centre's Trampoline and Gymnastics Clubs, Line Dancing, and Martial Arts displays. Participation events included Family Zumba and Roller Skating. There were Olympic Challenge races for children to compete in.
