REPLIES TO: NEWHAVEN LEWES ROAD REC – IT IS A DONE DEAL!

July 4 2012

Haven News has requested the name of the developer from Lewes District Council.

No reply as yet, but emails in include these:

SECRET SCANDAL
There's something more going on here than meets the eye. It's common knowledge, (at least, it is to some), that a private developer is interested in buying not just this recreation ground, but acres and acres of land right across the town. The town will be 'transformed beyond all recognition' a 'person in the know' told me.

What's going on? What's the secret all the councillors already know about but won't make public? Who else knows? We, the public don't, that's for sure...

QUESTIONS...
How is it possible that Lewes District Council could even consider selling a public 'GREEN' space in Newhaven when there is acre upon acre of brown field land in Newhaven crying out for re-development.

I must say I am appalled at the way Lewes District Council have handled this application. I would love to hear the reasons in favour for building a hotel out of the deprived town centre on a recreation ground???!!!

Would this happen in Lewes? I think we all know the answer to that.

Oh and where is Norman Baker? Another opening to boycott? Oh of course the cycle lane.........just what we need.

NO SURPRISE

Yet another DONE DEAL???

As you rightly say, Newhaven dumped on again!!
