JOIN THE ROTARY CLUB HELPERS AT SEAFORD HEAD

July 2 2012.

The Rotary Club of Seaford has been giving reading and maths help to Y7 Seaford Head Community College students for four years. This year's cohort finished on the 29th of June and during this last academic (and Rotary) year 16 Rotarians and 8 supporters have mentored 39 students, representing around 20% of the students in Y7.

The College has noticed a difference in the performance and understanding of the students, as well as by librarian Debbie, who is leaving for a new post at Sussex University. She will be missed by Rotarians and, no doubt, by many others.

If any Haven News readers would like to join the happy throng in October, just let the Rotary Club know. They work with the students at the College Steyne Road Site at 08:40 until 09:10 on Mondays and Fridays for reading, and the same time on Thursdays for maths. E-mail: mentor@seafordrotary.org.uk or visit www.seafordrotary.org.uk which also links to Facebook and Twitter.
