Friday night is Music Night and is all kicks off with popular local band

Over in Seaford, Folk Rock band
Bucklers Reel are playing at

DJ Gary Powell is mixing the sounds at the
Shore Bar and at the
VBar it is the return of the
Foam Party Evening, this time in aid of Seaford Down's Syndrome and Special Needs Support Group - turn up and get wet. Also check out:

weekly market in the
High Street and then a wander down to the
Fire Station for the Open Day from 10.00am through to 3.00pm

Seahaven Veterans' and Armed Forces Day at the

Newhaven Fort for the
Armed Forces Jazz Night from 7.30pm to 10.30pm. Enjoy an evening of live jazz in an atmospheric WWII setting with 'The Full Complement' jazz band. Dance the night away in your 1940s clothing (optional) and celebrate the work of our armed forces. Tickets cost £11.00 and are available from Newhaven Fort by calling 01273 517622.
Seaford Football Festival is taking place on both Saturday and Sunday at the
Downs Leisure Centre, so get along and have a kick, or learn how to fall over and make out you are injured. Refereeeee!

The Sussex Beacon Garden Gadabout, in aid of the Sussex Beacon -

66 Hawth Park Road, Bishopstone, Seaford, BN25 2RQ is a large steep hill-side garden on an unusual mix of clay and chalk soil. Over the past few years the mixed borders and fruit and vegetables have all been developed and enlarged. At the bottom of the garden is a small wild garden with views to a neighbouring wildlife pond.
Meeching Valley Primary School Summer Fete runs from 11.00am to 3.00pm at Valley Road. Entry is just 50p for adults and free to children. There will be many stalls with a lot of exciting new ones this year. All welcome even if you are not connected with the school.
Into the evening and one of our favourite bands,
Welcome to Nutsville will be leading a '
Hawaiian Party' at the VBar. Appropriate, or indeed inappropriate clothing optional. As long as there is 'some' clothing.
Round at the
Shore Bar another really great band,
Dr Scardo, will be rocking from 9.00pm onwards.
On to Sunday and as part of
National Gardens Scheme. the gardens at
Driftwood, 4 Marine Drive, Bishopstone, Seaford and
8 Sandgate Close, Seaford will be open from 11.00am. Tea, Coffee cakes, photograph & painting exhibition. Entry to both gardens £4, full details at
