It's Friday, the sun is shining and the weekend starts now. Down at the Hope Inn in Newhaven it's a 60s and 70s disco and fancy dress night. So dust off those flares, and get on down - and all that. Or you could take it to The Bridge, but it's not James Brown, it's local wild rock, punk, and ska band Random at The Bridge in Newhaven. More rock up at The Hampden with Bullet laying it down, while over in Seaford, The Bay has an Open Vinyl Night.

Saturday from 11.00am to 5.00pm, at least seven gardens in Newhaven are open to the public, including the community garden. Tel: 01273 514173 for more details.

Saturday evening seems on the quiet side this week with just The Ark hosting the Markham and Lodge Band from 9.00pm till late.

We tried our best this week, but it seems that Euro Football Fever has taken over, or  perhaps the Haven is just having a rest after some hectic weekends of hot action.
