A resident writes:

I'm just writing about the possible sale of the Lewes Road recreation ground.

While I agree that the way in which the decision has been made in secret by the Leader of the District Council and not by a committee or by the full Council is inappropriate for a decision of this importance, and in principal support the objections, I do feel, having recently tried to use the playground, that its potential for use as a recreation area is limited due to the massive amounts of dog mess on the concrete path, the playing field, and even in the kids playing area.

Inconsiderate dog owners are a massive problem in Newhaven. There is so much fouling of public areas that it literally does make the town a s****y place to live.
