Newhaven Port Authority has received a letter of thanks from Fugro Seacore for the services and assistance provided while the company's jack-up barge "Excalibur" was berthed in Newhaven's Western Bight recently.

The vessel was using the Port for the Rampion Windfarm Met Mast installation and then to de-mobilise once installation was complete.

"One of the most helpful ports we have been to for a long time," commented a senior officer of the company.

Newhaven Port Authority has thanked all the local companies and individuals that assisted to make the operation such a success and the local people for respecting the fenced off area of the promenade whilst "Excalibur" was in Newhaven.
