Top local band The Riffz are playing a rare casual gig at the Harbourside tonight. No uniforms, no set list, just playing their favourites and yours from 8.45pm. A talented bunch having a fun night. Join them.
Well, despite all the grim weather forecasts, the sun is shining in a clear blue sky as the Easter weekend bursts into life here in the Haven. So let's all get out and enjoy it and support our local events....
The Good Friday evening breaks with
free pool down at
The Ark in Newhaven from 5.00pm, while up at the
Hillcrest Centre this evening there is fine mix of
Ballroom Dancing and Ladies Boxing and at the
Shakespeare Hall there is a
Dance Moves class.
Over the river and
Denton and South Heighton Youth Club is open to all 13 to 18 year olds. We don't know where it is, but call Kay Watts on 01273 517250 and she will tell you. For the over 18s
The Hampden Arms sees the return of, not just a local band, but the 'home' band,

Saturday morning and once again you can kick it into life with a
Zumba Fitness Class from 9:30 - 10:30am at the
Hillcrest Centre, then wander over to the
Newhaven Market in the
High Street for a bargain. Better still you can catch a
Free Open Air Concert performed by the
Maestro Academy Players from 12 noon outside the Newhaven Town Centre Post Office.
Saturday evening sees a choice of music in Seaford, with great covers band
Kangaroo Juice at
The Bay Tree from 8.30pm and
AKA playing live at
The Shore from 9.00pm. Down the road at the
V-Bar the
Bonanza Team are back playing House and Techno from 9.00pm
Over at
The Ark in Newhaven, Saturday Night is
Karaoke Night from 8.00pm and YOUR turn to take the mic and give it your best. Go on - you KNOW you want to....

Easter Monday and it's
Kids Day at The Ark in Newhaven from 12 noon through to 4.00pm. The fun and games for the youngsters is based in the back garden with an Easter Egg Hunt, Fancy Dress Competition, Face Painting, Plant Your Own Tomatoes and Harvest to Get a Free Meal, plus prizes and much more!
