NORMAN BAKER HAS HIS SAY ON THE NEWHAVEN WEST BEACH

March 21 2012.

Commenting in response to today's decision by the High Court to overturn the County Council's decision to register West Beach as a Village Green, Newhaven's MP, Norman Baker said: "The people of Newhaven will be disappointed by this. Although it is clear that the town council won many of the arguments, the judgement ultimately came out in favour of NPP. I will be speaking to both NPP and the town council to see what common ground we can find. In the meantime, I want to stress to everybody in Newhaven that I, the town, district and county councils, as well as NPP, are working very hard to secure investment in the town and will continue to do so."
