MAPPING THE FUTURE

March 7 2012

Coastal Climates CIC is to display a series of maps casting light on the possible future faces of Seaford Bay, Newhaven and the lower Ouse valley, at a meeting at Shakespeare Hall in Newhaven on Saturday, March 17th.

The Coastal Futures Group, which includes many local people and is supported by the Environment Agency, will present a map showing predicted changes to the local coastline by 2150.

A second map will show potential cycling and walking routes between Newhaven and Lewes, via the Ouse valley. Members of the Ouse Valley Cycle Network, a group supported both on a local level and by the South Downs National Park Authority, will be on hand to answer any questions.

The maps, ideas and plans can be viewed and discussed by members of the public at the meeting between 10am and 12pm.
