YOUNG MAYOR AWARDS DEADLINE EXTENDED

The Seaford Young Mayors Awards nomination deadline has been extended until Wednesday 7th March to enable last minute entries into the scheme.

The awards, sponsored by the Keith Baker Charitable Trust, will be hosted by The Young Mayor of Seaford, Maddie Jay, and her Deputy, Amy Gough.

Nominees can be entered into one or more categories, including Bravery, Sports, Young Performer, Young Carer, Young Volunteer, Youth Group, Adult Supporting Youth Activities and the Young Mayors Award 2012.

Entrants for the Young Performer award will take part in a talent show on Wednesday 14th March at the Mercread Childrens Centre, as well as attending the overall Awards Evening on Wednesday 21st March at Seaford Baptist Church, when the winners in all categories will be revealed. The new Deputy Young Mayor of Seaford will also be announced on the night.

Young people in school years 8-10 who live in Seaford but do not attend a Seaford school and wish to stand for election should contact Seaford Town Council before Friday 2nd March. Pupils attending Seaford Head Community College should contact Mr Hugh Thomas.
