From sport to theatre productions, quizzes to Rock 'n' Roll, there's something for everyone in Newhaven and Seaford this weekend. So go on, get out there and support your local events
Tonight, there's drama from both sides of the river as Seaford Musical Theatre continues its run of
Cinderella at The Barn Theatre from 7.30pm, whilst over in Newhaven it's opening night for Meeching Amateur Dramatics' production of
Are You Being Served? at Meeching Hall from 7.45pm. Catch Cinderella on Sunday too, and Are You Being Served? continues on until next Saturday.
There's more than just theatre on the entertainment front for this evening - head over to the Cross Way Centre in Seaford for
Olivia Sham on the Piano in a Seaford Musical Society concert from 7.15pm, or check out Seaford Folk Club at the Royal British Legion, as
Moira Craig and Malcolm Austen bring their contrasting styles of traditional song together from 8pm.
On Saturday morning,
Norman Baker's in town again, this time taking his weekly surgery to the Newhaven council offices in Fort Road. Get there for 9.15am to discuss any local issues you may have.
There's more
local football this week in both Newhaven and Seaford, as Seaford Town play Rustington at The Crouch, and Newhaven FC take on Bosham at Fort Road. Both matches kick-off at 3pm.
If you fancy getting your quiz brain in gear on Saturday evening, head to Seaford Constitutional Club from 8pm for their
Quiz Night. Alternatively, kick back and enjoy some live music at The Hampden Arms in South Heighton, where great covers band
The Fog are playing and there is a jam session if you fancy joining in from 8.30pm, or stick with the
Seaford Royal British Legion Disco, where music comes from popular band The Official.
