Don't let Friday the 13th superstitions put you off your weekend, as there's another packed one on the cards for Newhaven and Seaford. There's plenty to do right through 'til Sunday, so don't stay in, get out there and support your local events.

Start your weekend tonight with live music from two local bands. 'Old boy' A cappella group Mistaken Identity bring a mix of pop and easy rock to Seaford Folk Club at the Royal British Legion from 8pm, and Mudbone return to the Hampden Arms in South Heighton from 8.30pm.

Saturday morning sees local MP Norman Baker coming to Seaford Tourist Information Centre for his weekly surgery. Go along from 9.15 with any issues you'd like to raise.

Back in Newhaven, The Summerhayes Centre is offering a free Indian Head Massage Workshop from 10am until 4pm, whilst over at Denton Church Hall there'll be a Cupcake Sale and Coffee Morning to raise funds for the church from 10am.

Saturday's set to be sunny, so why not spend the afternoon supporting Seaford Town FC Reserves as they take on Steyning Town at The Crouch. Kick-off at 3pm.

Stick with Seaford to start off your Saturday evening - Crystal Clear play at Seaford Cons Club from 8pm and then it's eyes down at 8.30pm for Bingo Night at The Royal British Legion. Newhaven's late night offerings include The Fulker Brothers at The Ark and Stash at The Bridge, both from 9pm.

Sunday morning once again sees the Friends of Tide Mills and any willing volunteers hit the beach for the Tide Mills Monthly Beach Clean-up. Wrap up warm and get down there from 10am to enjoy some fresh air, whilst also helping to maintain our beautiful coastline.

Have a good one!
