POST-CHRISTMAS RECYCLING

Now that the festive period is over, don't forget that a lot of the extra rubbish created at this time can easily be recycled locally.

Lewes District Council is once again offering a Christmas tree recycling facility whereby trees will be chipped free of charge when dropped off at your local Household Waste Recycling Site, or at one of the designated Mini Recycling Collection sites. These can be found at Bay Vue Road car park in Newhaven, Buckle car park in Seaford and Piddinghoe Avenue car park in Peacehaven.

All non-artificial trees can be dropped off up until Sunday 15th January and must have all decorations removed.

Christmas cards can also be recycled; simply place them in your usual paper (not cardboard) recycling box for collection, or take them to the paper bin at one of the mini recycling centres.

Some normal refuse collections are also subject to change up until 9th January, when a normal service will resume. To check your refuse collection day, go to:
