The Newhaven Christmas Extravaganza, organised by the Newhaven Community Development Association (NCDA) kicks off at 10.30am tomorrow, Saturday 10th December 2011.

The event promises to be a fun-packed family affair with plenty of free-of-charge activities and some 40-plus community group, craft and Christmas stalls lining up alongside the regular Newhaven Saturday market traders at the top of the high street. It's not all just fun at the top though as the action continues on down through to the bottom of the High Street, where more attractions can be found, including rides for the children, sizzling chestnuts and mulled wine tastings.

On the live entertainment front, a magician will be performing at 11am, the Haven Harmony Choir will sing around the Christmas tree at 12.00 and a jazz band will perform in the afternoon.

The Christmas Extravaganza is set to bring a big injection of festive spirit and fun to Newhaven High Street right up until the closing time of 6pm.
