Starting to feel the winter blues? Don't worry, the antidote is right here on your doorstep. With yet more live music, theatre shows and some festive events to see you through the weekend, there's no need to stay cooped up - Get out in Newhaven and Seaford and support your local events!

Make tonight a live and loud one, starting with local band Random's Music Jam Night. If you're already a musician, go and show them what you're made of at Newhaven Social Club from 7pm. For a change of scene, head over to Seaford Folk Club where David Gibb takes to the stage with his own interpretations of some traditional and contemporary songs. Up in South Heighton, rock 'n roll band Strata play at the Hampden Arms from 8.30pm.

Start your Saturday morning with some Christmas bargain hunting with the St Leonard's Church Hall Christmas Fayre in Seaford, or the Christmas Table Top Sale at Riverside Mencap Hall in Newhaven, both starting at 10am.

Back in Seaford, you've got two afternoon musical treats to look forward to. The Buxted Symphony Orchestra will be playing a concert for St Cecilia's day at St Leonard's Church from 1pm, or get yourself over to the Barn Theatre from 2.30pm as The Concert Singers perform A Mix of Magical Musicals. Promising songs from My Fair Lady, Oklahoma and Pirates of Penzance, to name but a few, it's sure to be an entertaining way to spend your afternoon.

Saturday also sees the start of a two day Model Railway Exhibition at Newlands School in Seaford, with trade stands, demonstrations and refreshments. If that sounds like your thing, head over there from 11am on either day this weekend.

Saturday night kicks off with Welcome To Nutsville playing at the reopening of The Ark in Newhaven from 8pm. If you fancy showing off your own singing talents, then it's Karaoke at the Cinque Ports from 8pm. Go on - You know you want to...

Sunday gives you another chance to browse a Table Top Sale, this time at the Downs Leisure centre in Seaford. So if you missed out on Saturday, go and have a look at the 70 plus stalls, or take the opportunity to relax and have a chat over a coffee at the café.

If you feel like helping out the community on Sunday morning, whilst feeling the benefits of some fresh sea air, go and lend a hand to the Friends of Tidemills Beach Clean-up from 10am.

Evening entertainment comes in the form of Sam Jones Syndrome Live. Sam Jones takes his comedy magic show to the Barn Theatre from 8pm, but be warned, it's strictly for adults.

Have a good one!
