TUMBLE DRYER CATCHES FIRE

Firefighters from Newhaven were called out on the evening of Saturday, 12th November, after a tumble dryer caught fire.

Two crews were sent to Valley Road at 7.14pm and firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used one hose reel jet and fire fighting foam to put the fire out, which was located in the garage.

Crews were at the scene until 8.03pm making the area safe and carried out a Home Safety Visit for the occupants of the property.
