Welcome to the weekend Haveners! With Halloween and bonfire fun already getting revved up in Newhaven and Seaford, along with your usual mix of live entertainment, why not get out there and enjoy your local events!
Seaford Musical Theatre Juniors first ever production,
Jessie's Dream, continues tonight and finishes tomorrow at the
Barn Theatre in Seaford. This humorous musical play set in the 1970s was thought up by and is being performed by young people and is well worth a watch. There's also live entertainment at
Seaford Folk Club tonight as it hosts its
Singers and Musicians Night from 8pm.
Up on the hill at South Heighton, as ever, Friday Night is Music Night at the
Hampden Arms and tonight the seriously good
Fat Belly Jones are playing everything from 80's to blues.
Saturday sees two spooky events take over
Newhaven Fort. For daytime daredevils of all ages,
Halloween Family Fun will provide you with some half term horrors and gruesome activities, continuing until Monday October 31st. For adult thrill seekers, the
Sussex Spooktacular invites you to an evening of paranormal investigation.
If it's still a bit early for all of that, why not head over to Peacehaven for the
Charity Zumba Fundraiser at the
Meridian Centre from 5pm, raising money for Rick Sharpe International.
Back over in Seaford,
John Dartnell and Don Strandberg will be live in concert at the
Barn Theatre from 7pm. If you fancy getting out in the fresh autumn air, catch the highly anticipated return of the
Seaford Bonfire Society Procession from 6.30pm at the White Lion, or meet them down at the Martello Fields from 8.30pm for a free Fireworks display.
Kicking your heels on Sunday? Check out the weekly
Pub Quiz at the
Old Plough in Seaford, promising big prizes and lots of fun.
