October 17 2011 - Update: 10.25am

The eastbound carriageway of the A27 has been closed between the Ditchling Road and Sussex University following an accident. Westbound traffic is moving slowly and will cause delays for morning rush hour drivers heading towards Brighton and points west.

The road is now open.
