A great line-up of live entertainment is once again on the cards for Newhaven and Seaford this weekend, so don't let the threat of winter weather keep you in, get out there and support your local community.

Get your weekend off to a great start with one of four live music offerings, kicking off with Jim Bainbridge at Seaford Folk Club from 8pm. A little later on, the Jazz Duo Roderick Hart and Imogen Ryall play at the Office Bar in Seaford from 8.30pm.

Up in South Heighton, new Rock & Blues band Mudbone play at the Hampden Arms from 8.30pm, or head over to the Ark in Newhaven for a Star Wars themed Karaoke night from 8.30pm. May the force be with you...

On Saturday morning it's the St James' Trust Open Day from 10am in Seaford. Here you will have the chance to meet volunteers and members, look around their facilities, or simply have a cup of tea. The Galliard Trio will also be performing in a lunchtime concert at St Leonards Church from 1pm.

Saturday evening sees Seaford Head Community College welcome Seaford Silver Band's Prom's Night 2011, with the Moira House Junior Choir and guest singers from 7:30pm. Alternatively, the Ark in Newhaven plays host to yet another brilliant local band, The Riffz, from 8pm.

If you're stuck for something to do on Sunday evening, why not check out the weekly Pub Quiz at the Old Boot in Seaford, promising big prizes and lots of fun.

Stay classy Haveners!
