With the Great British Summer's fashionably late arrival, we're sure you will need no persuading to get out and about this weekend, but with Newhaven and Seaford offering the usual eclectic mix of entertainment to see you through until Sunday, why not keep it local?
Tonight it's all about live music. Get down to the Searchlight Social Club in Newhaven for the
Baker Boys from 7pm, or up at the Hampden Arms in South Heighton,
Random will be playing from 8.30pm. Head over to Seaford Folk Club at the Royal British Legion from 8pm for their
Singers and Musicians Night, and hang on in there until later on for the
Quiz.
Friday also sees the start of the
Hailsham Art Group Exhibition, continuing daily from 10.30am until Thursday 6th.
Saturday morning gives you a great excuse to get out in the sun at the
Growing Together Community Garden Open Day. Go along and explore the garden from 11am. Later on, events take an unusual turn as Seaford Head Golf Club holds a
Family Pig Racing Night from 8pm. All in aid of the Up Tempo Dance School, you're sure to have an interesting evening!
Staying in Seaford, Crossway Church plays host to an evening with
Harpist Fiona Hosford from 7.30pm, whilst over in Newhaven you'll have a tough choice between the
Looking Back Live Music Event at Newhaven Social Club from 8.30pm, and
Phoenix at the Ark, playing from 9pm 'til late.
Your Haven weekend gets rounded off nicely on Sunday, with the
James Daniels Memorial Fund Treasure Hunt starting at the Flying Fish in Denton at 2pm.
Have a good one!
