TAKE YOUR MARKS FOR SEAFORD TRIATHLON

August 12 2011

The South Coast Triathlon returns to Seaford for the eighth time this Saturday, 13th August.

Suitable for a range of abilities, the triathlon includes four event classes of varying difficulty including fun, sprint, classic and relay.

Event director Vic Bickerton said, "We have the Sprint and Classic distances for the more experienced triathlete.

"But for the hundreds of first-timers we get, we also have the Fun distance or the Relay where each member of the team does one discipline."

The event starts with a sea swim from Seaford beach, followed by the cycling stage along the seafront and ending with a run, again along the seafront. Competitors finally cross the finish line on the Esplanade by the Martello fields.

The event is now closed to entrants, but if you fancy catching a piece of the action then get down to Seaford beach and cheer on those brave enough to have entered.
