TEDDY TREATS AND THE ROYAL SOCIETY OF ST GEORGE

December 13th, 2017.

Members of the Seahaven Branch of The Royal Society of St George met with Teddy Treats Children's Charity at the Kings Head in Seaford last Saturday to help out with their Christmas Treat for local children.

St George had already helped by paying for the cost of the coach to take 20 children and 12 adults to the Panto in Eastbourne, and was also able to give a further £300 grant from the Charitable Trust of The Royal Society of St George to help make the outing even more special for the youngsters.

In the presence of the Mayor of Seaford, Cllr Linda Wallraven, branch President Laurie Holland presented the cheque to Brenda Edwards from Teddy Treats. It was through Rob Willis (AKA Santa and Elvis) and friend Tony that the cost of the panto tickets was raised.

President Laurie Holland said: "What a privilege it is to help give a special treat to these children at Christmas time."

The Charity is also appealing for gifts of toys to be given out to those children who need a treat at Christmas. New toys can be donated at either the Kings Head in Seaford, or The Hope Inn in Newhaven.
