The Barn Theatre, Seaford, takes you into the world of swing time jazz from September the 10th to the 13th, for a glittering presentation of “The Singers and Swingers Club” .

The story is set on the opening night of “Dukes Place” a new jazz club in downtown New York owned by the notorious mobster Frankie Barretto, aka The Duke. The manager Sammy Jordan receives devastating news that the tour bus and his all-star line up of singers has been stopped by Police and everyone has been arrested for possession of drugs.

Sammy knows that a flop on opening night means he is likely to end up as dog meat. Experience the unfolding drama within the club as the hapless Sammy starts to find replacement artists from the most unlikely places. He might just pull it off!
In a ground breaking style the audience will become part of the cabaret club, complete with live band, singers, exotic dancers and waitresses serving drinks and snacks during the performance. Free drink for anyone dressed in a gangster and moll style.

The innovative show opens nightly at 7.30pm with an additional matinee on Saturday. “The Singers and Swingers Club” has been conceived and written by Seaford Musical Theatre members Tony Still and Susan James with musical direction provided by Russell Taylor.

The show is not suitable for very young children.
