STC COMMUNITY GRANTS SCHEME 2022/2023

April 3rd, 2022.

Seaford Town Council's annual Grants Scheme opened for applications on April the 1st.

Each year the Council invites local community groups, charities or voluntary organisations to apply for a financial grant from the Town Council’s grants pool.

In the 2021/22 scheme the Town Council was able to support the local community with grants totalling £14,914.

There are two types of grant available; small grants of up to £500, and larger grants over £500, up to a maximum of £3,000. Terms and conditions apply.

In previous years, grants have been awarded for a variety of projects, including the continuance of support for the Seaford Dial-a-Ride service at its pre-Covid level of activity; to support local children to develop creative talents with Teddy Treats Top Talent Sponsorship; to support virtual counselling sessions with qualified children’s mental health and wellbeing therapists for The Youth Counselling Project; and supporting the first aid cover at the annual Seaford Bonfire event for Seaford Bonfire, to name a few.

There are certain criteria to be eligible for a community grant. These are set out in the Council’s Grants Policy. This policy and all details, including the application form, can be found on the Town Council’s website HERE.

The closing date for applications is 4.30pm on Friday the 27th of May. Applications should be submitted electronically, marked for the attention of Lucy Clark, Finance Manager, and emailed to admin@seafordtowncouncil.gov.uk
