Laurie Holland, President of the Seahaven Branch of The Royal Society of St George, accompanied by the Chairman, Bob Peedle MBE, attended a committee meeting of the Denton Challenge yesterday, July the 12th. The country we now know as England was founded by King Athelstan, grandson of Alfred the Great, on the 12th of July 927AD.

The committee received the rosettes that will be awarded to the young winners at the event this coming Saturday at the Avis Road Recreation Ground at Denton, BN9 0PN. 

The weather forecast looks good for Saturday for the youngsters to successfully complete their challenges and receive their rosettes and certificates.
